A typical ITH Workshop requires a minimum of 75 paying dancers, not including scholarship recipients.
Dancer Requirements
While we encourage dancers to bring their authentic selves to class and do not require a specific dress code (such as tights and leotards), dancers must:
• Wear appropriate dance attire and footwear that allows for safe movement and reflects the genre of each class. Attire and shoes must meet the host studio's guidelines.
• Bring a water bottle and snack and/or lunch as needed for the day.
• Arrive with a positive attitude, ready to learn, work hard, and have fun!
• Follow all rules, policies, and expectations of the host studio.
• Submit a signed waiver prior to the start of the workshop.
• Dancers without a completed waiver will not be permitted to participate.
Studio Requirements
In addition, host studios agree to provide:
• Access to studio space, sound system, bathrooms, and common areas for check-in and breaks
• Space for snacks and/or meals during the workshop day(s)
• A designated studio contact who is present for the duration of the workshop to:
• Open and close the studio
• Assist instructors with sound or technical needs
• Support dancer flow, transitions, and general questions as needed
• Ensure the overall safety of the building and all students throughout the workshop
These requirements help ensure a smooth, positive, and safe experience for dancers, instructors, and studio staff alike.
No problem! Studios may:
• Partner with another studio to share the experience (a great way to build community and new connections), or
• Inquire about ITH Master Classes, which are designed for smaller groups.
Schedules vary based on studio size, available space, and studio-specific needs or considerations.
